When you see a property that you are interested in buying you should ask the selling estate agent or the Seller directly, if there is no agent, for a copy of the Home Information Pack (HIP). There may be a charge for providing a copy of the HIP.
The HIP is legal Pack containing essential information about the property and acts to reduce the chances of unwelcome surprises later on in the conveyancing process.
It will contain documents needed in the conveyancing process and an energy report.
When you get a copy of the Pack you can contact a member of the North West Solicitors Association who will be able to explain and interpret the contents of the Pack.
North West Solicitors Association member firms have protocols and procedures in place so that your conveyancing can be completed quickly, effectively and efficiently.
