Solicitors in Sefton are leading the way in working together.
The North West Solicitors Association
(NWSA) consists of 19 independent law
firms from across Bootle, Crosby, Southport,
Formby, Maghull and Litherland who have
come together to improve the
conveyancing process and reduce
transaction times by following an agreed
process.
Steve Battarbee is a senior partner
at KBK Law and Chairman of the NWSA and quoted: “In addition to promoting co-operation
between local law firms and property
professionals, the NWSA members have
agreed protocols and procedures designed
to speed up the conveyancing process and
reduce the chance of ‘fall throughs’.
“The real benefit can be seen when all
parties in a chain are represented by
member firms.
“The ethos of the NWSA is to encourage
all legal and other property professionals to
work together to protect and expand their
local market.”
Anne Heseltine, President of Liverpool Law Society commented: "I am delighted a platform has been
developed to encourage collaboration and
co-operation between local conveyancing
solicitors which not only speeds up
property transaction times but also
improves working relationships between
local solicitors, estate agents and other
property professionals."
The organisation has also attracted
national interest; Steve Battarbee and Tracy
Thompson, a licensed conveyancing solicitor
at Morecrofts, will be attending the National
Conveyancing Congress at The Emirates
Stadium in London this September.
The NWSA Summer Party will be held on
Saturday 21 June with a fun casino for local
independent estate agents and member
firms at Aintree Racecourse.
