(NWSA) The North West Solicitors' Association (NWSA), held an event for estate agents at Owen’s Bar in Southport last Thursday.
The NWSA is a unique collaboration of 11 legal firms from Sefton, which has been set up to tackle the issues associated with moving home and to reduce conveyancing transaction times.
Over 40 people attended the event from some of the most influential estate agents in the area. A selection of drinks and canapés were on offer, followed by a presentation on the association by NWSA members: Tracy Thompson of Morecrofts, Steve Battarbee of KBK law and Kate Grundy of David Phillips & Partners.
The aim of the presentation was to raise awareness of the NWSA with local estate agents and law firms, with a view to expanding the association’s membership to include more solicitors from North Sefton.
Tracy Thompson said: "The presentation was a great success and we had many estate agents approach us after the event asking why solicitors hadn’t thought of this before. I firmly believe the NWSA is now the best way forward."
She continued: "The association which promotes co-operation between solicitors and standardisation of services and procedures will benefit everyone, from estate agents to solicitors and the public. With co-operation between solicitors we can offer a superior service and dramatically cut conveyancing times."
