(Daily Post) A new lawyers' group dedicated to conveyancing issues is holding an event at Aintree Racecourse tonight.
Eleven independent local solicitors from Sefton, Merseyside, have set up The North West Solicitors Association (NWSA) to tackle the issues assocated with moving home and to reduce conveyancing times.
The participating firms are Morecrofts, Kennan Benjamin Kay, Maxwell Hodge, David Phillips & Partners, Hal Emmett, Thos. R. Jones, Gregsons, Black Norman, Sharman & Son, Breens, and Woolwich Lander & Savage.
Tracy Thompson conveyancing executive at Morecrofts, said changes in the conveyancing market, including the introduction of Home Information Packs, meant it was more important than ever for small independent firms to work together.
She said: "Our association believes the best way forward for both legal and property professionals, and the public, is for local co-operation between solicitors".
The NWSA meeting, open to the public, is tonight at 6p.m. at the Beecher's Suite in the Queen Mother Stand at Aintree Racecourse.
